A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALIEN, TEXAS,
COLLIN COUNTY, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ZONING VERIFICATION
LETTERS AND BUILDING LINE ENCROACHMENT WAIVERS, AND
ALLOWING THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO ISSUE
SUCH LETTERS WHERE APPROPRIATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen receives numerous requests for zoning verification letters, and
these letters are legal in nature and require considerable staff time; and
WHEREAS, the City of Allen receives numerous requests for encroachment waivers, and these
letters are legal in nature and require considerable staff time; and
WHEREAS, it is expected that the number of these requests will continue to increase in the
future;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, that:
SECTION 1: A fee of $25 will hereinafter be charged for all requests for zoning verification
letters.
SECTION 2: The Director of Community Development is granted authority to issue
encroachment waivers in cases where staff deems it appropriate.
SECTION 3: A fee of $25 will hereinafter be charged for all requests for encroachment waivers.

TEXAS, ON THE 21 DAY OF JULY , 1994.
