A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
DETERMINING THE DESIRE AND INTENT OF THE CITY COUNC71L TO SELL
CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF FERRIS
AND MCDERMOTT DRIVE IN ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen has determined that it is appropriate to sell certain
property located at the northwest corner of Ferris and McDermott Drive in the Central Business District
of the City of Allen; and,
WEEREAS, Section 272.001(a) of the Texas Local Government Code allows for the sale of land after
notice of said sale is published in a newspaper of general circulation in the county, said notice to include
a description of the land and the procedure by which sealed bids to purchase the land may be submitted;
and,
WHEREAS, as a further requirement of Section 272.001(a) of the Texas Local Government Code,
notice of the intent by the City to sell the land is to be published in the newspaper on two separate dates
and the sale made at least fourteen (14) days after the date of the second publication.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: It is the desire of the City Council of the City of Allen to offer for sale the property
located at the northwest corner of Ferris and McDermott Drive, in Allen, Collin County, Texas, said
property being further described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 2: In order to establish the fair market value of the property, an appraisal has been
completed.
SECTION 3: At the time the City Council deems it appropriate to offer this property for sale, a
notice of sale will be published in The Allen American the official newspaper of the City of Allen, on
two separate dates and sealed bids will be received at the Allen Municipal Annex for at least two weeks
following the second publication.
SECTION 4: Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code §272.001(d), the City reserves the right to
refuse any bid or offer or enter into any contract to sell the property in question.

ON THE 18TH DAY OF AUGUST , 1994.

BEING a part of Lot 4, Block 8 of the Whisenont Addition, an addition to the City of Allen, Texas,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 1, Page 52 of the Map Records of Collin County,
Texas (MRCCT), and being all of that some tract of land as described in deed to the Town of
Allen recorded in Volume 488, Page 3, and being all of that some tract of land as described in
deed to the Town of Allen recorded in Volume 487, Page 161, of the Deed Records of Collin
County, Texas (DRCCT), and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2—inch iron rod set at the intersection of the north line of McDermott Drive
(F.M. 2170) (110 foot right—of—way), with the west line of Ferris Drive ((28 foot right—of—way);
THENCE N 89 58'36" W, along the north line of said McDermott Drive, 60.00 feet to a 1/2—
inch iron rod found,
THENCE N 00 0427" W, departing the north line of said McDermott Drive, at 10.00 feet
