A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, RECOGNIZING THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR PROPOSING THE
RECONSTRUCTION OF US 75 IN THE 1996 TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need for the reconstruction of US 75 through the City
of Allen; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council appreciates the efforts of the Texas Department of Transportation
for planning, designing and proposing funding of this project of US 75 through the City of Allen, in
the 1996 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council appreciates the efforts of the Texas Highway Commission in
allowing funding of this project of US 75 through the City of Allen in the 1996 Transportation
Improvement Program (TIP); and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The city will cooperate fully with TXDOT in the planning and construction of this
roadway.
SECTION 2: The city requests that TXDOT continue the public hearing process through successful
adoption of the 1996 TIP, and let the contract for the project in 1996.
