A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO ACQUIRE REGULAR LICENSE PLATES FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Allen, Texas finds that it is in the best
interest of the Police Department to acquire regular license plates for
certain unmarked vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Article 6701m-2 Vernon's Annotated Civic Statutes, mandates the
City Council must authorize a request for regular license plates by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Allen, Texas request that the
Texas Department of Transportation issue regular license plates to the City
of Allen Police Department for all of its unmarked Criminal Investigation
vehicles upon proper application.
SECTION 2: The Chief of Police or his designate of Allen Police Department
shall be the City's authorized representative in this matter and shall
execute proper and necessary documents pertaining to this purpose.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Allen, Texas hereby affirms the
vehicles in question will be operated by the Allen Police Department in the
performance of its official duties.

COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 5TH DAY OF OCTOBER 1995.
