Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Clifford Hart, Johnny Pannell and
Johnnie Blankenship
Absent: Bob Lowman
Council met to name a new Police Chief, when Jerry Burton and Royce Abbott
were hired by the Collin County Sheriff's office. Council agreed that Jerry
Burton and Royce Abbott are to turn in all City owned equipment effective
October 29, 7:15.P.M. They are to be paid in full effective this date. All
City benefits will stop effective this date. Motion Johnnie Blankenship
Second Johnny Pannell that Wendell Bousley and Anthony Hancock will be
Assistant Chiefs of Police and will hire three more policemen at once. Each
Assistant Chief will receive $100.00 per month increase in salary. Motion
carried 4 for 0 against.
Council agreed to hire volunteer firemen or others to assist in patroling
the City until the force is replenished.
