REGUTAR MEETING
May 1, 1975
City Council, City of Allen
Present:Mayor Frank Bugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Clifford Hart, H. C. Brooks,Jr.,
and Mickey Pierson.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that minutes of last meeting be
approved as read. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Motion Mickey Pierson Second Clifford Hart to set May 15 as the date for
a public hearing on annexing Cemetary into City limits. Motion carried
5 for 0 against.
Police Chief Anthony Hancock requested that his department be allowed
to purchase carpet for the Police Station. Motion H.C. Brooks, Jr.,
Second C. D. Whitaker that carpet be purchased for Police Station. Motion
carried 5 for 0 against.
Notion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that Bob Acker be appointed as
Assistant Fire Marshall. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Chief Gentry requested that City send at least 3 firemen to Firefighters
school this summer at A & M. Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart
that at least 3 firemen from the Allen Volunteer Fire Department be
allowed to attend school. Notion carried 5 for 0 against.
Bob Lowman asked about the status of the Keith Drive sewer line. City
Secretary Larry Moore advised Lowman that clean-up is all that is needed
for project to be complete.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Mickey Pierson to pay bills presented. Motion
carried 5 for 0 against.
Notion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that meeting adjourn. Motion
carried 5 for 0 against.
