Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Mickey Pierson, Clifford Hart
and H.C. Brooks, Sr.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lawman that minutes of last meeting be approved
as read. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Dale Williamson of Lane Star Gas Co. appeared once again in reference to the
rate increse requested by his Company. After much discussion C.D. Whitaker
made Motion that original increase of 10¢ stand Rickey Pierson seconded this
Motion. Motinn carried 5 for 0 against.
Robin Streff appeared and presented a scrap book to the Council of all the
news writeups and other items that took place at the Summer Recreation this
past summer. The Mayor and City Coucilmen complimented Mrs. Streff on the fine
job she did with the program.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lawman to adopt a stronger ordinance in reference
to houses and other places that are designated as health and safety hazards.
Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Motion Bob lawman Second Mickey Pierson to appoint Dr. Anthony Vita as the
City Health Officer for another year. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
Fire Marshall Bob Acker appeared and reported that he had made inspections of
6 buildings in Allen. Mr. Acker also advised the Council that there was a
problem in Hillside Village because the people park their cars in front of
fire plugs. Council advised that they would like to see no parking stripest
on the curbs in these problem areas. Mr. Acker also advised that there may be a
problem with streests that have similar names in the city. Mayor advised that
the City will get these changed.
Motion Bob Lawman Second Mickey Pierson to pay bills presented. Motion carried 5 for
0 agiinst.
Motion EX C.D. Whitaker that meeting adjourn. Mickey Pierson Seconded this
Motion. Motion carried 5 for 0 against.
