Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum of the committee members present, the regular meeting of the Public Art
Committee was called to order by Chair Carroll at 6:02 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in
the Parks and Recreation Conference Room at 301 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas.
Action Items
1. Approve minutes from the October 20, 2015 Regular Meeting
MOTION: Upon a motion made by committee member Bennett and seconded by committee
member Barry, the committee voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed to accept
minutes from the October 20, 2015 regular meeting as presented.
Discussion Items
2. Update on Current Projects
Staff reported that work continues on the panels for the Cottonwood Creek Trail Bridge project.
The artists are currently in the process of attaching the laser cut pieces to the frames. Staff will
follow up with the artist to finalize the timeframe for installation.
Staff reported that updated drawings and answers to additional questions were sent to the Ford
Pool Mosaic Project artist finalists. The artist interviews will be held via Skype on December 15,
"_'015.
3. Review and Discuss Concept Sketches for Watters Branch Park Public Art Project
PUBLIC ART COMMITTE
REGULAR MEETING
November 10, 2015
The Committee reviewed and discussed the concept sketches provided by May and Watkins
Design Feedback will be provided to the artists and further developed drawings will be
presented on December 1.
