' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION FOR 2016 HOUSING TAX
CREDITS BY MARIGOLD FLATS, LLC, NAMED MARIGOLD FLATS TO THE
TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS (TDHCA) TO
DEVELOP AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Marigold Flats, LLC, (herein called "Applicant') has proposed a development for an age
restricted (55 and older) affordable rental housing named Marigold Flats, in the City of Allen, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, Applicant has advised it intends to submit an application to the Texas Department of Housing
and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for 2016 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for Applicant; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Allen City Council provide a Resolution of support as required by the
TDCHA Housing Tax Credit application for the development; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen and Applicant understand the property will have to obtain a Special Use
Permit for the intended use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
' SECTION 1. The City of Allen in Collin County, Texas, hereby supports the application for 2016 Housing
Tax Credits by Marigold Flats, LLC.
SECTION 2. The Allen City Council authorizes the City Secretary to certify this Resolution to the Texas
Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its passage.

COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 9"a DAY OF FEBRUARY 2016.
