Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitor's
Bureau Advisory Board was called to order by Chair Mclvor at 8:01 a.m. on Thursday,December 14,2023, in
the Basement Meeting Room at Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013.
1. Approve Minutes of the October 12,2023,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Boone and a second by Board Member Yates,
the Board voted six(6) for and none (0) opposed to approve the minutes of October
12, 2023,Regular Meeting. The motion carried.
2. Introduction of New Board Member and Staff.
Councilmember Dave Shaffer was welcomed and introduced as the new Council liaison.Ms.Alexander
introduced Ms. Hogan as the Bureau's Receptionist.
3. Receive Update on Local Tourism Initiatives.
An update on the Allen Premium Outlets was presented by Karen Walter.
4. Receive the FY2023-FY2024 CVB Budget.
The Board received a copy of the approved FY2023-FY2024 CVB Budget.
5. Update on Recent Sales Efforts.
Ms.Altier presented sales successes and hotel performance metrics.

6. Update on Recent Marketing Efforts and Partner Engagement.
Ms. Weissert presented media performance metrics and partner participation at PINSTACK event.
,7. Consider Modifying the Date and Time for Regular Meetings.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Boone and a second by Board Member Yates,
the Board voted six(6) for and none (0) opposed to conduct regular meetings of the
Allen Convention and Visitors Bureau the third Wednesday of even-numbered months
beginning in February. The motion carried.
