Min - City Council - 1977 - 03/03 - RegularREGULAR SESSION March 3, 1977 City Council, City of Allen Present: Mayor Frank Dugger Councilpersons: H.C. Brooks, Jr., Eileen Tollett, Charles Chandler, Mickey Pierson, and Bob Lowman Motion Lowman Second Chandler to accept minutes as read. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against. A Public Fearing, was held on the 128 acres in the William Perrin Survey. Planning and Zoning Commission bad recommended that a PD (Planned Development) be added to the requested LR and GI. There was no opposition to this request. At this time, Hank Dickerson and Bill Duvall presented their proposed project by zoning class- ificationsnn. Motion by Pierson Second Lowman to approve. 5 For Q against. G -?V Public Hearing was held on a Special Exception request by T.A. Cundiff, so as to allow a Day Care Center on Lot 2A Block 13 in Whisenant Addition in a R-16 zoning classification. As there was no opposition a motion was made by Pierson Second by Chandler to approve this requst. 5 For 0 Against. JUS g7-1 _4/o A letter was read from the Planning and Zoning Commission rec- ommending the acceptance of Pat McMichaels resignation, and to submit Jonnie Enloe to fill this vacancy on the Commission. Motion ® Pierson Second Tollett to approve these recommendations. 5 For 0 Against. A variance request was presented by J.Kimzey Builders for lot 19, Block G, Rolling Hills Estates Addition. Motion by Lowman Second Brooks to approve this request. 5 For 0 Against. Jimmy Eaton reported that an employee had been hired in the Water Department whose duties are to primarily take care of the recrea- tional facilities and that there would be only one spokesman from the Parke and Recreation or Allen Sports Association, as to what this employee's duties are. A Semi -Annual Budget Report was presented from Felix Smith, the City Auditor. The Council requested that he meet with them to answer any questions that they might have concerning this report. Police Chief Anthony Hancock presented an application received from North Central Texas Council of Governments Director of Criminal Justice which outlined a grant which was available for a Higbspeed Telotype Terminal. This grant would be funded with 85% from the Law Enforcement Assistance Adm. and Criminal Justice Division and 15% Local Funds for a total of $10,307, which includes maintenance for 1 year and all administrative supplies. This is a computor which would link us with Austin or Washington D.C. and would enable us to check out a person or vehicle within two or three minutes. Motion Lowman Second Pierson to approve this Resolution. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against. Allen City Council Regular Session March 3, 1977 Motion Lowman Second Brooks to pay bills as presented. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Lowman Second Chandler to fix a curb in Walden park that creating a problem. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Pierson Second Lowman to adjourn.
