' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, SUPPORTING COLLIN COUNTY'S PRIORITIZATION OF
PROPOSED REGIONAL TOLL REVENUE (RTR) FUNDED TRANSPORTATION
PROJECTS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE JOINT COLLIN
COUNTY RESOLUTION REGARDING RTR FUNDED TRANSPORTATION
PROJECTS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 9, 2012, the Commissioners Court of Collin County, Texas, met in regular session, and
during such session, the Court approved the prioritization of projects to be funded from available SH 121
Regional Toll Revenue (RTR) accrued interest and savings as well as new SH 161 Regional Toll Revenue as
included in the attached County's prioritization ranking spreadsheet, attached hereto as "Exhibit A"; and,
WHEREAS, the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) allocated SH 121 Regional Toll Revenue funds for
transportation projects within Collin Country, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, interest has accrued to date, and savings from existing SH 121 RTR projects has been
identified; and,
WHEREAS, additional SH 161 Regional Toll Revenue Funding has been identified for Collin County; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation and all of the cities of Collin County submitted
' projects for consideration and possible funding with RTR funds; and,
WHEREAS, all of the submitted projects were analyzed and ranked; and,
WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the members of the RTC representing cities of Collin County that the
attached prioritization spreadsheet should be used as a guide to allocate additional RTR funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Allen City Council approves the new and existing RTR projects being recommended for
Regional Toll Revenue funding and the methodology for approving the same.
SECTION 2. The Allen City Council requests the RTC honor this list and take action to approve funding
for the projects as listed in the attached prioritization spreadsheet.
SECTION 3. The Allen City Council authorizes the Mayor to sign the Collin County Joint Resolution
supporting Collin County's prioritization of Proposed Regional Toll Revenue (RTR) Funded Transportation
Projects.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its passage.
