' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2580-12-06 BY AMENDING
THE BOUNDARIES OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING REINVESTMENT
ZONE NO. 2 ("CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT"); CONTAINING FINDINGS;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance No. 2580-12-06 created Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment
Zone No. 2 ("Central Business District") to promote the development or redevelopment of the area, as
authorized by the Tax Increment Financing Act, Chapter 311 of the Texas Tax Code (the "Acf'); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance No. 2713-3-08 amended the boundaries of Tax Increment Financing
Reinvestment Zone No. 2 ("Central Business District") by deleting the parcels identified in Ordinance No. 2713-
3-08; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desims to amend the boundaries of Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone
No. 2 ("Central Business District") by deleting the parcels identified in Exhibit "A" and as depicted in Exhibits
"B" and "C" attached hereto and made a part thereof for all purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this Ordinance and contained in
Ordinance No. 2580-12-06, as amended by Ordinance No. 2713-3-08 are hereby found and declared to be true
and correct.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 2580-12-06, as amended by Ordinance No. 2713-3-08, is hereby amended by
amending the boundaries of Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone No. 2 ("Central Business District")
by deleting and omitting the parcels identified in Exhibit "A" and as depicted in Exhibits `B" and "C"
attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, from the boundaries of Tax Increment Financing
Reinvestment Zone No. 2. The boundaries of Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone No. 2 ("Central
Business District") shall hereafter be as set forth in Ordinance No. 2580-12-06, as amended by Ordinance No.
2713-3-08 and as amended herein by excluding the parcels identified in Exhibit "A."
SECTION 3. All Ordinances of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of
this Ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed; provided, however that Ordinance No. 2580-12-06, as
amended as heretofore amended and all other provisions of said ordinances not in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect, except as amended herein.
SECTION 4. If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall for any reason be held
invalid or unenforceable, the invalidity or unenforceability of such section, paragraph, clause or provision
shall not affect any of the remaining provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and the publication of the caption, as the
law and charter in such cases provide.
