AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF BUSH STREET IN ITS ENTIRETY
TO BUSH DRIVE AS DESCRIBED ON EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, has deemed it appropriate to
change the name of Bush Street in its entirety to Bush Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the residents of this street to
correct this name; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that renaming Bush Street to Bush Drive is consistent with the
Allen Land Development Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The name of Bush Street in its entirety shall be changed to Bush Drive as shown on Exhibit
"A" attached hereto. The Traffic Engineer is directed to correct the maps and records of the City to reflect the
change in street name herein and to cause appropriate signage to be erected.
SECTION 2. Should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section of this
ordinance, be adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of said ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. All ordinances of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance be, and the same aro hereby, repealed; provided, however, that all other provisions of said
ordinances not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its adoption in accordance with the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Allen, and it is accordingly so ordained.
