Brooks, Jr. Motion Pierson Second Brooks to adopt minutes as read. Motion carried 5 For 0 against. A Public Hearing was held on the Wm. F. Cheater property located on H. Federal. a�V The request was from Bob Thompson to allow a used car sales as a Special Exception in LR Zoning. Motion Pierson Second Chandler to allow thin ezaeption. Motion carried 5 For 0 against. A date was set for Feb. 16, for a public hearing on the Tea Cate property, being Lots 3B -4B, Block 15 in the Old Smation,this request was to silty a glass business in LR zoning. Motion Pierson Second Farmer to set this date. Motion carried 5 For 0 against. Willie Jacobs and Roy O'Neill of Occidental Life Insurance Life Insurance presented their plan for Employee bmpitilzation. Several questions were asked by employees concerning t}Nir coverage. It was explained that should the Crown Life plan be dropped, their coverage would extend to preexisting conditions presently covered by Crown. Jimmy Eaton is to get his bills to Mr. O'Neill for a comparison of coverage. A final decision is to be made at the next meeting. Jobs Sandern, the architect far the JAPetite lay Care Center requested that they be allowed to build with wood studs rather than metal, as the wood met the specifications of our building code. Motion Pierson Second Brooks to instuct Mr. Richardson to go ahead with the permit, based on their plans, rather than the specs(&@ they had called far metal), if all else met our building code. Motion carried 4 for 1 against. (Tollett). Motion Pierson Second Tollett to set April let as Election lay for the Cityfe a Officers Election and same date for the Charter Commission Election. Motion carried 5 for 0 against. A notice is to be placed in the paper for those who would like to be placed on the ballot to some an this commission. Motion Tollett Second Chandler that Melvin Gant be appointed Election Judge. Motion carried 5 for 0 against. Bob Acker presented the bids for the Communication system. Total bids awarded were $13,843.60. The bids were received from G.E, Ken's and Motorola. 7 items were awarded to G.E. for a total of $11,195.70, 4 to Ken's for $1274.50 and 1 to Motorola for $1043.90. Motion Pierson Second Tollett to award this low bidders on all items; however radios for the water department are to be installed at a later date. Motim carried 5 for 0 against. Motion Brooks Second Pierson that we guarantee the City of McKinney payment far ambulance service; for those residing in the city limits the city will pay $75 and the customer $35 and any excess (mileage or whatever). For those am residents, they are to be billed the full amount. Nation carried 5 For 0 against. Motion carried 5 for 0 against. The Council respectfully accepted the resignation a Wendell Houseley as Aset. Police Chief and wished Hat the very best. Condolences were wished to the family of Walter Hicks at the time of his death. Mr. Bob Woodruf of Plano Park and Recreation Dept. is to meet with the Council at a special time of his choice, in order to work out plans and procedures ibr hiring a Park And Recreation Director for Allen. Motion Brooke to pay all bills with the exception of Ken's C—mication and H.C. will meet with then.. Motion seconded by Farmer. Motion carried 5 for 0 against. Motion Farmer Second Brooke to adjourn.
