' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE TOWN OF FAIRVIEW, TEXAS,
RELATING TO REDUCING THE CITY OF ALLEN'S EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION ON THE CONDITION THAT THE TOWN OF FAIRVIEW ANNEX
THE AREA OF THE LOVEJOY ISD ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND THE
CARRIE L. LOVEJOY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; AUTHORIZING ITS EXECUTION
BY THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, has been presented a proposed Interlocal Agreement
by and between the City of Allen, Texas, and the Town of Fairview, Texas, a copy of which is attached hereto
as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference (herein called "Agreement") regarding the reduction of the
City's extraterritorial jurisdiction to exclude the property on which are located the Lovejoy ISD administration
building and Carrie L. Lovejoy Elementary School provided the Town of Fairview annexes said area into its
Town limits; and,
WHEREAS, upon full review and consideration of the Agreement, and all matters related thereto, the City
Council finds that the terms and conditions thereof are found to be acceptable and in the best interests of the
City of Allen and its citizens;
' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Agreement is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the
Agreement and all other documents in connection therewith on behalf of the City of Allen, substantially
according to the terms and conditions set forth in Exhibit "A," hereto.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
