Brooks, Jr. Motion Farmer Second Chandler to approve minutes as read. Motion carried mamime aly. J.Y. The proposed tan rate was discussed; however, they felt that it was premature to set the rate util after the budget workshop, therefore there was a motion by Farmer Second Daugherty to set a Special Called Session for Sept. 14, at 7:30 P.M. to set the rate. Motion carried uanimonsly. The mayor red a letter of recommendations from k. John Hera, School Superintendent, regardim the operation of the tax office. Be recommended that next year, all property not revalued this year be done at that time, and everything done on a systisatic basis thereafter. Motion Andrew Second Chandler that the recommendation red that the Mayer or City Official be represented in this plan and that we resolve to cooperate with this intent. Motion carried 5 for 0 against. Dr. Hers also recommended a policy of the collection of deliaqueat taxes and the possible lease of a computer terminal for that office. The council was in agreement with the collection policy and the mayor and doe Farmer are to go to the next school beard meeting to discuss the computer terminal with that beard, with a decision to be made at the next council meeting. Elton Geeslin of Murray Development Co. brought his preliminary plat for approval, as he had made the necessary changes that P & Z had recommended. After much discussion regarding the access read a notion was made by Daugherty Second by Brooks to approve with the stipulation that the Fire Department work net the locations and amber of fire plugs in that addition. Motion carried unanimously. Bill hhloe, postmaster, returned to the council with his problem of blocked boxes. Iyiwkaage Saviags had originally asked $2500, we offered $700, and they cantered with $1400. Motion Daugherty Second Brooks to counter with $1050. Motion carried 4 for 1 against. Motion Andrew Second Chandler to pay the bills. Motion carried unanimously. A group from the Hillside organization were is the audience and asked to keys sees questions answered, if possible. These questions were is regard to a curfew, functions of the Park sad Recrestian Dept. and the possible use of Social Security numbers rather than namea an the water billing records. Hopefully these questions were answered to their satisfaction and they were welcomed to the P & Z meetings to help answer other questions they might have. Motion Breaks Second Andrew, to adjourn.
