September 21, 1978
Present: Mayor M.D. Pierson
Councilmen: Joe Farmer, Charles Chandler, Clean Andrew and H.R. Daugherty
Absent: H.C. Brooks, Jr.
Motion Andrew Second Chandler to approve minutes of regular meeting of Sept. 7.
Motion carried unmaimouely.
Motion Farmer Second Andrew to approve minutes of Special Called meeting of Sept. 14.
Motion carried unanimously.
with as comment, either for or against, a motion was made by Farmer Second Daugherty
to adopt the budget as presented. Motion carried 4 For 0 against.
The possible purchase of the lot in Rolling Hills for a park site was again
discussed. Because of the closeness to Hwy75, a motion was made by Daugherty to
pees an the offer of $1350. Thio motion was seconded by Farmer. Motion carried
4 For 0 against.
Joe Farmer reported to the council the information he had received from Dr. Hen
regardiag the computer terminal for the tax office. The most important fact
that was taken into consideration was the quick access to the Data Processing
files at Wamahatchie. Farmer made the motion to approve and was secoaded by
Andrew. Motion carried 4 for 0 against.
As this concluded all item on the agenda, the mayor opened the meeting up for
those in attendance who had any questions. Mr. Petty requested that voter
registeratian fans be place at the city hall for those who could not go to the
court house. Mayor Pierson informed him that we would supply them.
Motion Andrew Second Chandler to pay the bills. Motion carried 4 for 0 against.
Motion Farmer Second Chandler to adjoun into Executive Session to discuss
personnel. Motion carried unanimously.
