A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, SUPPORTING THE NORTH TEXAS CHIEFS OF POLICE AND
THE CENTER FOR AMERICAN AND INTERNATIONAL LAW, INSTITUTE FOR
LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION IN THEIR EFFORTS TO SECURE A
REGIONAL CRITICAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT TRAINING SIMULATOR.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen and the Allen Police Department recognize the need for Critical Incident
Management Training and recognizes that the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration is a leading
provider of training for public safety personnel and commanders; and,
WHEREAS, the use of a regional Critical Incident Management Training Simulator will enhance training for
our emergency/public safety personnel and commanders; and,
WHEREAS, the ability of the training simulator to be regional will allow government agencies to work
together and to train together which will increase communications and readiness if a true critical incident
were to occur.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Allen supports the efforts of the North Texas Police Chiefs
Association and The Center for American and Intemational Law, Institute for Law Enforcement
Administration in their effort to secure funding for a Critical Incident Management Training Simulator.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 27TH DAY OF MAY, 2008.
