' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE
ATTACHED INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BY AND AMONG
THE CITIES OF ALLEN, PLANO AND WYLIE FOR PARTICIPATION IN
COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTING SERVICES FOR A RADIO SYSTEM
REPLACEMENT/UPGRADE PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BY THE CITY MANAGER; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, as amended,
authorizes governmental entities to contract with each other to perform government functions and services
under the terns thereof; and,
WHEREAS, Allen, Plano and Wylie are political subdivisions within the State of Texas and are all engaged
in the provision of governmental services for the benefit of their citizens; and,
WHEREAS, the parties desire to enter into an agreement under which Allen, Plano and Wylie will hire a
consultant to evaluate an upgrade and/or replacement to the radio system; and,
WHEREAS, Allen, Plano and Wylie have current funds available to satisfy any fees and costs required
pursuant to this Agreement.
' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The terns and conditions of the attached Agreement, having been reviewed by the City
Council of the City of Allen, Texas, is hereby in all things approved.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement and all other
documents in connection therewith on behalf of the City of Allen, Texas.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.

COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 26TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2008.
