R-2645-8-07RESOLUTION NO. 2645-8-07(R) ' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING VARIOUS FEES AND CHARGES FOR WATER AND SEWER; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the best interest of the City to establish fees and charges for water and sewer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The following fees and charges are hereby established for Temporary Service: The fee for a temporary connection shall be Twenty Dollars ($20.00). SECTION 2. (2) Sewer: 4 inch ... $260.00 6 inch ... $300.00 (3) Tap fees must be paid prior to the beginning of any work. Any additional work required beyond the normal tap work (such as boring and street cutting) shall be computed by the city and paid by the owner or developer. ' SECTION 3. The following fees and charges are hereby established for water meter testing: The fee for a water meter test shall be Twenty Dollars ($20.00). SECTION 4. The following fees and charges are hereby established for the reconnection of water service: F 1 1 The fee for reconnecting water service shall be the payment of an additional deposit of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) at the time service is restored. SECTION 5. The following fees and charges are hereby established for the initial installation and set up of fire hydrant meters: (1) A refundable deposit in the amount of Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($650.00) for a stationary meter. (2) An initial installation and set up fee of Twenty Dollars ($20.00). (3) The fee for removal and relocation of a meter shall be Fifteen Dollars ($15.00). (4) Failure to make the meter available to be read each month shall result in an administrative penalty of Fitly Dollars ($50.00) for each occurrence. SECTION 6. The following fees and charges are hereby established for the Capital Improvement Fees: Type of Development Water Sewer Single-family residential detached $105.00 per unit $105.00 per unit Single-family residential attached $ 84.00 per unit $ 84.00 per unit Mobile homes $ 84.00 per unit $ 84.00 per unit Multifamily, apartments, condominiums $ 63.00 per unit $ 63.00 per unit Commercial, industrial $250.00 per acre $250.00 per acre SECTION 7. The following fees and charges are hereby established for services for the Public Works Department: (1) Engineering Inspection Fee: Three and two-tenths (3.2) percent of estimated cost of public improvement (i.e. water sewer, streets, drainage, etc.). The Engineering Inspection Fee is a percentage of actual contract costs of city maintained improvements to be paid prior to release of engineering plans and/or site plans. Contracts will be provided to show the construction costs of public improvements. (2) Videotape services for sewer: One dollar ($1.00) per foot of pipe [maximum one thousand (1,000) feet]. (3) Install cleanout on existing sewer: One hundred dollars ($100.00). (4) Copies of engineering data: a. Map of existing water $4.00 b. Map of existing sanitary sewer $4.00 C. Should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section of this Resolution, be adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of said Resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 9. All prior Resolutions that established the fees for sewer and water of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this Resolution, and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 18. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and itis accordingly so resolved.
