' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE
ATTACHED INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BY THE CITY OF
ALLEN AND COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, TO PERMIT THE USE OF CERTAIN
SPACE WITHIN THE ALLEN MUNICIPAL COURT/PARKS & RECREATION
BUILDING AT 301 CENTURY PARKWAY, ALLEN, TEXAS, FOR JUSTICE OF
THE PEACE PROCEEDINGS CONDUCTED BY A JUSTICE OF THE PEACE AND
OTHER COLLIN COUNTY ELECTED OFFICIALS; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF THE INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BY THE CITY
MANAGER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, as amended, provides authorization for units of
local government to enter into the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement attached hereto, to perform
governmental functions and services; and,
WHEREAS, the County desires to utilize space within the Allen Municipal Court/Parks & Recreation
Building (the "Facilities") at 301 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas, for Justice of the Peace Precinct 3
proceedings conducted by a Justice of the Peace; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to permit the use of the Facilities by the County for Justice of the Peace
Precinct 3 Court proceedings conducted by a Justice of the Peace as set forth herein; and,
' WHEREAS, any payments required by any party herein shall be made from current revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The terms and conditions of the attached Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, having been
reviewed by the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, are hereby in all things approved.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement and all other
documents in connection therewith on behalf of the City of Allen, Texas.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ON TIES THE 25TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2007.
