O-2551-9-06ORDINANCE NO. 2551-09-06 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF "FM 2551," SOUTH OF MAIN STREET, TO "ANGEL PARKWAY" AS SHOWN ON EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, has deemed it appropriate to change the name of"FM 2551," South of Main Street, to "Angel Parkway"; and, WHEREAS, it has been determined that there are no residents on the existing "FM 2551" at this time; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that renaming "FM 2551' to "Angel Parkway" is consistent with the Allen Land Development Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The name of "FM 2551," South of Main Street, shall be changed to "Angel Parkway" as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto. The Traffic Engineer is directed to correct the maps and records of the City to reflect the change in street name herein and to cause appropriate signage to be erected. ' SECTION 2. Should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section of this ordinance, be adjudged or held to be void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of said ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. All ordinances of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed; provided, however, that all other provisions of said ordinances not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect on November 1, 2006, and it is accordingly so ordained.
