' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, DESIGNATING A PUBLIC INFORMATION COORDINATOR
FOR THE PURPOSES OF RECEIVING TRAINING ON THE RESPONSIBILITIES
OF THE CITY OF ALLEN CONCERNING THE PUBLIC INFORMATION ACT;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 552.012 of the Texas Goverrunent Code, as added by Texas Senate Bill 286, in the
Texas 79a Regular Legislative Session, effective January 1, 2006, requires public officials and/or the public
information coordinator to complete one (1) to two (2) hours of training on the Public Information Act; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint the City Secretary as the public information coordinator
for receiving training as required pursuant to Section 552.012 of the Texas Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby designates the City Secretary as the public information coordinator
for the purposes of receiving training on the responsibilities of the City of Allen, Texas, concerning the Public
Information Act.
SECTION 1. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage.
