III STATE OF TEXAS [ COUNTY OF COLLIN j CITY OF ALLEN ( • AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, SAID PROPERTY BEING ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS AND BEING FULLY DESCRIBED BY RETES AND BOUNDS AS HEREINAFTER SET OUT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS: 1 That the petition of Texas Power t: Light Company and others filed with the City of Allen, Texas, on Aurust 11th , 1971, for annexation to the City of Allen, Texas, of the herein- ^ alter described property which is contiguous and adjacent to the present city limits and is not over one-half mile in width, and upon which less than three qualified voters reside, and upon which petition a hearing was by the Mayor and City Council on the 2nd day of Septsmher , 1971, after due notice was given, is hereby granted. 2 That the hereinafter described property in Collin County, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, annexed to the City of Allen, Texas, for municipal purposes and that the present corporate limits of the City of Allen, Texas, are hereby extended to embrace the said property said territory, Which Is more partic- tilarly described by inetes and bounds as follows: All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land in the William Perrin Survey, Abstract 700, Collin County, Texas, being part of a 24.314 -acre tract, Called third tract, to deed free Homer L. Adams to N. MmlamA i Lb.. A partnership, and also being a one -acre tract owned by Texas Power 6 Light Company, known as the Nest Allen Substation, and described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the northwest right- of-way line of U.S. Highway 75, said point being the present corporate limit line of Allen, Texas, said point being in the south property line of Texas Power 4 Light Company's West Allen Substation, • if projected in an easterly direction; THENCE west, passing the southeast corner of Texas Power 4 Light's Allen Substation and contin- uing along the south property line of said substa- tion 449' to a point for corner, said point being the southwest property corner of the Allen Substa- tion, said point also being in the west boundary line of the William Perrin Survey, Abstract 708, said point also being 1737' north of a point where said west boundary of the William Perrin Survey, Abstract 708, intersects the northwest right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 75; THENCE in a northerly direction, following along the west boundary line of the William Perrin Survey, Abstract 708, 208.71' to a point for corner, said point being the northwest property corner of Teras Power t Light's West Allen Substation; THENCE east, passing the northeast corner of Texas Power A Light Company's Went Allen Substation and continuing 504' to a point for corner, said point being in the northwest right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 75 and the present corporate limit line of the City of Allen; THENCE in a southwesterly direction and at all times following along the northwest right-of-way line of U,S, Highway 75 and the present corporate limit line of Allen, Texas, to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. 3 That the inhabitants of the territory hereby annexed by the City of Allen, Texas, shall in all respects be on equal footing with the inhabitants, shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Allen. 4 That if any section, subsection, word, sentence or phrase of this ordinance is held invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordinance, 5 The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance, together with a copy of such petition, in the Office o1 the County Clerk of Collin NMhntyt Texan, -2- .�y 6 The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause a onpy of this ordin ou-e to be published in the officially designated newspaper as required by lay. �• PASSED AND APPEaVED this .^_u day of A.D. 1971.
