AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING
A PORTION OF BONHAM STREET IN THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of
Allen, Texas, having been petitioned by the
owner of part of Lot 1 in Block 12 of the
Whisenant Addition in the City of Allen,
Texas, to close and abandon for public
travel, the following described portion of
Bonham Street, to -wit:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of
said Lot No. 1, in Block 12 of the Whisenant
Addition to the City of Allen, Texas;
THENCE NORTH with the West edge of Bonham
Street, 104 feet to the Northeast corner of
said Lot No. 1 in Block 12 of the Whisenant
Addition;
THENCE EAST, 7 inches;
THENCE SOUTH, parallel to the East line
of Lot 1 in Block 12 of the Whisenant
Addition, 104 feet to a stake;
THENCE WEST q inches to the place of
beginning.
The Council has determined that the public
interest of the citizens of Allen, Texas,
require that such petition be granted.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that the above
described portion of Bonham Street, in the
City of Allen, Texas, be abandoned and
closed to public travel forever.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon its adoption.

COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, ON
THE 20th day of January, 1972.
