OF ALLEN, TEXAS, ORDINANCE N0. 134
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
ALLEN, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS
OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID PROPERTY WITHIN
SAID CITY LIMITS AND GRANTING TO ALL THE INHABITANTS
OF SAID TERRITORY ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF
OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY @S,
OF THE ACTS, ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS AND REGULATIONS
OF SAID CITY, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, application having been duly made for
annexing said territory to the City of Allen, Texas, which
application is in the form of a petition duly and legally
executed and filed with the Mayor of the City of Allen,
Texas, and the Mayor, having certified the same to the
Council of the City of Allen, Texas, and
WHEREAS,
the
Council of the
City
of Allen
has
Investigated
into
and determined
that
all of the
facts
contained in said petition are true, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held not more than
twenty nor less than ten days prior to the institution
of such annexation proceedings with notice of such hearing
given in the manner prescribed by law and all other
requirements of notice and completion of such annexation
procedure being fulfilled, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen has
investigated and determined that it will be advantageous
and beneficial to the City of Allen and its inhabitants
as well as the hereinafter described territory to annex
such territory to the City of Allen, Texas;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the territory described as follows
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Alan,
Texas, to -wit:
BEING a tract of land situated in theVMc a7,Pdg.Q
Survey, Abstract No. 491, Collin County, Texas; and being
more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the Northeast corner of the MCBain
Jamison Survey, Abstract No. 491, said point being the
Southeast corner of theRufus Sewell Survey, Abstract No.
875;
THENCE, N. 87 deg. 34 min. West along the said McBain
Jamison Survey North line, a distance of 64.40 feet to
the PLACE OF BEGINNING, an iron spake for corner;
THENCE, S. 35 deg. 03 min. 23 sec. West leaving the said
North line of the MCBain Jamison Survey, a distance of 1346.68
feet to an iron stake for corner;
THENCE, N. 21 deg. 05 min. East a distance of 1197.08
feet to a point in the North line of the McBain Jamison
Survey, an iron stake for corner;
THENCE, S. 87 deg. 34 min. East along the said McBain
Jamison Survey, a distance of 343.20 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING, and containing 4.468 acres of land.
SECTION 2: That from and after the passage of this
Ordinance, said territory shall be a part of the City of
Allen, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled
to all of the rights, privileges and immunities of all other
citizens of the City of Allen, Texas, and shall be bound by
all of the ordinances and regulations enacted pursuant to
and in conformity with the general laws of the State of
Texas.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval and it is so ordained.

City of Allen, Texas, on this the 7th day of Septembc
