AN ORDIANCE ANNEXING TERRITY TO THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY
SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen has been
petitioned to annex certain property herein described into
said City by all of the duly qualified voters residing
thereon; and,
WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed does
not exceed that amount authorized by law; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held not more than twenty
nor less than ten days prior to the institution of such
annexation proceedings with notice of such bearing given
in the manner prescribed by law and all other requirements
of notice and completion of such annexation procedure
being fulfilled; and,
WHEREAS, said public hearing offered each person
interested in the proposed annexation an opportunity to
be heard; and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen has
investigated and determined that it will be advantageous
and beneficial to the City of Allen and its inhabitants
as well as the hereinafter described territory to annex
such territory to the City of Allen, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the territory described as follows
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Allen, Texas,
to -wit:

SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, part of William
Perrin Survey, Abstract No. 708, part of George V. Ford
Survey, Abstract No. 323, being 17.208 acres out of a
241.5 acre tract described in deed from W. A. Giddings
to W. L. Wood, January 2, 1939, Volume 321, Page 165,
Collin County Deed Records and said 17.208 acres as
follows:
BEGINNING at stake in East line of said 241.5 acre
tract in center line of public road. Said stake bears
South 0 deg. 38 min. East 178.0 East 178.0 feet and
South 87 deg. 39 min. East 257.2 feet from Northwest
corner of George W. Ford Survey;
THENCE SOUTH 30 deg. 42 min. West with center line
of said road along East line of said tract distance of
600.00 feet to stake;
THENCE SOUTH 26 deg. 57 min. West with center line of
said road along the East line of said tract distance of
49.5 feet to stake;
THENCE NORTH 87 deg. 39 min. West a distance of 1311.3
feet to stake in East Right of way line of Highway No. 5;
THENCE WEST 30 deg. 39 min. East with East right of way
of said Highway distance of 651.3 feet to stake;
THENCE SOUTH 87 deg. 39 min. East distance of 1308.1
feet to BEGINNING;
CONTAINING 17.208 acres of land.
SECTION 2: That from and after the passage of this
Ordinance, said territory shall be a part of the City of
Allen, Texas, with all of the rights, privileges and
responsibilities pertaining thereto.
SECTION 3: That according to the general zoning
ordinance to the City of Allen this property shall
automatically be zoned R-2 (Suburban Home Site).
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage and approval and it is so
ordained.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas,
has been petitioned to annex the property herein described and accord-
ingly, after due notice, a public hearing will be held by the City Council
of the City of Allen on the let day of March, 1973, at 7:30
o'clock P.M. to determine whether or not annexation proceedings should be
commenced. Said property is described as follows:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the Wm. Perrin Survey, Abstract
708 and G.W. Ford Survey, Abstract 328 described in deed from W.L. Woods
to Stella Kanelos, January 11, 1964, recorded in Volume 630 Page 181 of the
Collin County Deed Records and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at stake in the East line of a 241.5 acre tract of land in
center line of a Bublic road said stake bears South 00 381 East 178.00
feet and South 87 391 East, 257.2 Feet from the Northwest corner of Geo.
W. Ford Survey;
THENCE, South 300 4211 West with center line of said road along East
line of said tract a distance of 600.00 feet to stake;
THENCE, South 260 57" West with center line of said road along the
East line of said trardt a distance of 49.5 feet to stake;
THENCE, North 87 39" West, a distance of 1311.3 feet to stake in
East Right -of -Way line of Highway No. 5;
THENCE, North 300 39" East with the East Right -of -Way line of said
Highway a distance of 651.3 feet to a stake;
THENCE, South 870 38" East a distance of 1308.1 feet to place of
BEGINNING. CONTAINS 17.208 acres of land.
