O-152-5-73I CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, ORDINANCE N0. 152 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY - y TO INCLUDE SAID PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY LIMITS AND ` GRANTING TO ALL THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TERRITORY ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS, ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE 'OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, application having been duly made for annexing said territory to the City of Allen, Texas, which application is in the form of petitions duly and legally executed and filed with the Mayor of the City of Allen, Texas, and the Mayor, having certified the same to the Council of the City of Allen, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen has inveatgated into and determined that all of the facts contained in said petitions are true; and, WHEREAS, all legal notices required for annexation have been given in the manner and form set forth by law and a public hearing has been held on the proposed annexation and all other requirements of notice and completion of such annexation procedures being fulfilled; and, WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen has Snveetigaged and determined that It will be advantageous and beneficial to the City of Allen and its inhabitants as well as the hereinafter described territory to annex such territory to the City of Allen, Texas; NON, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS: �. SECTION 1: That the territory described as follows be and the sam is hereby annexed to the City of Allen, Texas, as-WL11 FIRST TRACT: SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, In the William Perrin Survey, Abstract No.. 708 and being a part of a 12.483 acre tract conveyed by W. L. Wood, at ux, by deed dated March 7, 1963, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at an iron stake in the Northwest comer of the said tract in the center line of a branch in the East right of way line of State Ni&tway k5; THENCE NORTH 77 deg. 17 min. East with the center line of the said branch a distance of 69.4 ft. to a stake; THENCE SOUTH 73 deg. 50 min. East with the center of the said branch a distance of 88.1 ft. to a stake; THENCE SOUTH a distance of 197.6 ft. to an iron stake; THENCE NORTH 87 deg. 39 min. West a distance of 279.8 ft. to an iron stake In the East right of way line of the said Highway; THENCE NORTH 30 deg. 39 min. East with the Highway right of way a distance of 24.8 ft. to a concrete marker; THENCE EAST a distance of 11.6 ft. to a concrete marker; THENCE NORTH 30 deg. 39 min. East a distance of 202.0 ft. to the place of beginning, containing 1.00 acre of land. SECOND TRACT: S TTUATED in Collin County t Texas, a part of the William Pe "in Survey, Abstre at No. 700, and being 17.208 acme out of a 241.5 acre tract as described in a deed from W. A. Giddings at ux Hattie to W. L. Wood at ux Dorothy dated Janue ry 2, 1939, recorded in Vol. 321, Page 165 of the Collin County Deed Records and said 17.206 acres being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at an iron stake in the last Ina of the said tract in the center line of a public road. Said stake bear. S. 0 deg. 38 min. East, 678 ft. and N 87 deg. 39 min. W 71.4 ft. from the Y.X. corner of the George W. Ford Survey Abetra at No. 328; THENCE SOUTH 26 deg. 57 min. West, with the center line of the said mad along the seat line of the said tract a distance of 150.5 ft. to a stake; THENCE SOUTH 24 deg. 04 min. West with the center line of the said road along the East line of the said tract a distance of 489.0 ft, to an iron stake; THENCE NORTH 87 deg. 32 min. W, a distance of 1384.1 ft. to an Iron stake in the East R.O.W. line of Hi -Way No. 5; THENCE NORTH 30 deg. 39 min. E with the East R.O.W. line of the said Hi -way a distance of 667.2 ft. to an Iron stake; THENCE SOUTH 87 deg. 39 min. E, a distance of 1311.3 ft. to the place of beginning, containing 17.208 acme of land. SECTION 2: That from and after the passage of this Ordinance, said territory shall be a pat of the City of • Allen, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof eball be entitled to all of the rights, privileges and immunities of all other citizens of the City of Allen, Texas, and shell be bound by all of the Ordinances and regulations enacted pursuant to and in conformity with the general laws of the State of Texas.
