' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, SUPPORTING THE ALLEN POLICE DEPARTMENT IN ITS
APPLICATION FOR TRAINING AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS
COMMISSION ON LAW ENFORCMENT OFFICER STANDARDS AND
EDUCATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen Police Department Training Unit provides the state -mandated training to its
personnel; and,
WHEREAS, the Allen Police Department Training Unit also provides specialized training sessions for the
benefit of the law enforcement community to its officers, and officers from other law enforcement agencies;
and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education requires the
Allen Police Department to have the support of the City Council in order to maintain its training agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Allen hereby approves and supports the Allen Police
Department's agreement for training with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and
Education in an effort to maintain a high quality standard for the personnel of the police department.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and it is accordingly so
resolved.
