ANNEXATION PUBLIC HEARING
JULY 16, 1998

In accordance with V T.C.A., Local Government Code, Chapters 42 and 43, a public hearing
authorized by the Allen City Council was presided over by Community Development Director Bill Petty, at
1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 1998, in the Council Chambers of the Allen Public Library, Two Civic Plaza,
Allen, Texas.
Mr. Petty advised that an Application for Annexation had been submitted by D. R. Cameron &
Associates on June 25, 1998, requesting the City of Allen to annex 67.80 acres of land Situated in the the
George Fitzhugh Survey, Abstract No. 320 and the Gabriel Fitzhugh Survey, Abstract No. 318, in Collin
County, Texas, and a part of a called 84.84 acre tract to E. S. Smith as described in Volume 404, Page 25 of
the Deed Records of Collin County, Texas, more commonly known to be located west of FM 1378 and
generally south of Lovejoy ISD
Mr. Petry advised that the prepared service plan for the 67.80 acres was available for public review and
the required public notification has taken place in accordance with state law
Mr. Petty opened the public hearing and asked for anyone speaking either for or against the request to
do so at this time.
With no one speaking either for or against the request, Mr. Petty closed the public hearing.
The public hearing was adjourned at 105 p.m.
These minutes reviewed and approved on the 16th day of July, 1998.
