' Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quonun of the committee members present, the regular meeting of the Public Art
Committee was called to order by Vice Chair Benson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in
the Parks and Recreation Conference Room of Municipal Courts, Parks and Recreation Building
at 301 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas.
Action Items
1. Approve minutes from the May 17, 2016, Regular Meeting
MOTION: Upon a motion made by committee member Bennett and seconded by committee
member Barry, the committee voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed to accept
minutes from the May 17, 2016 regular meeting as presented.
Discussion Items
2. Update on Ford Pool Public Art Mosaic Project
The Committee participated in a Skype call with project artist Joshua Winer. Joshua showed the
committee the actual mosaics that he has been working on in his studio, discussed the process and
then answer any questions the Committee had.
' 3. Update on Future Projects
Matt McComb shared with the Committee that Watters Branch Community Park construction
was progressing and the project would be going out to bid in the near future. Artists May and

Watkins have been moving forward with design and concept development as per the Committee's
direction.
Keep Allen Beautiful has received the 2016 Governor's Community Achievement Award
(GCAA) and a community reception will be held in August. Committee members are encouraged
to attend.
